Option to only show files in OwnCloud Client without download

I installed ownCloud from .ovf image on ESXI VMware server with LDAP configured.
Is there any chance to only show files and directories in ownCloud Sync Client without downloading.
When user want to edit some files than this file will be downloaded, changed by user locally, uploaded and removed from hard drive.
What's the point of downloading files if I have, for example, 20GB?

Yes. What you are looking for is a WebDAV Client. If you have Windows 8 or larger and don't get confused by MS Office you can use the native one in MS Windows. Mac or Linux native once work fine. Otherwise use Cyberduck or another WebDAV Client and you will have the experience you describe.
