Owncloud 10.4.1 on ubuntu 20.04 ts

Hello All

On sunday i upgraded from 18.04 LTS to 20.04 LTS the owncloud 10.4.1. It was a test and i can only say, it is working without any issues.

Still using the newest apache 2.3.4 with maria db and php 7.2.xx .

Everything seems to work really well here.

Only just to say. No issues until now.

As usual, i have a backup.

The upgrade was made through apt update && apt install first on 18.04 and then reboot and started with do-release-upgrade -d . I had to reactivate some DEBs after the upgrade but yeah, nice.

First of all i have upgraded to the latest version of owncloud 10.4 and installed all patches. Then i made the inplace upgrade.

Have to upgrade php 7.2 to 7.3. Maybee some advice here?

PHP 7.2 to 7.3 should be straight forward. Make sure you have all the same modules installed, and then switch your cli and apache to 7.3. For the first you need to use the update-alternatives command and the second you can do with the a2dismod and a2enmod commands.

Please be aware the PHP 7.4 is still not supported by ownCloud. It will come with the upgrade to version 10.5.
