Owncloud 10.4 This server has no working internet connection

Hello,

I use Ubuntu 18.04 with Owncloud 10.4 and everything works. That means I can reach the owncloud Server externaly, can install apps from the marketplace etc. however the admin portal still shows me the notification "“This server has no working Internet connection. This means that some of the features like mounting external storage, notifications about updates or installation of third-party apps will not work. Accessing files remotely and sending of notification emails might not work, either. We suggest to enable Internet connection for this server if you want to have all features.”

I also tried a curl to “https://www.owncloid.org” however this doesn’t function. Could this be the reason for the notification?

Thanks for any help.
Best regards

Where did you run that curl command and what was the exact error message.

I would either suspect an outgoing firewall/proxy issue or a missing DNS server configuration on the ownCloud server.

Thanks Erik…it was the proxy setting; in the config I inserted: ‘proxy’ => ‘myproxy’, and now all checks are passed.
