ownCloud Android 4.8.3/4.8.4 + oCIS: login succeeds but files never load and uploads stay stuck

Actual behaviour

  • OIDC login completes successfully.

  • Authentik successfully returns the authorization code, /token returns 200, and /userinfo returns 200.

  • ownCloud Android successfully calls /ocs/v2.php/cloud/user?format=json and receives 200.

  • After successful authentication, the app never loads the file list.

  • No further WebDAV requests are made.

  • Uploads remain stuck in TRANSFER_QUEUED / TRANSFER_IN_PROGRESS.

  • The Android log repeatedly stops at:

    SingleSessionManager: getClientFor starting
OwnCloudClient: Creating OwnCloudClient
AccountUtils: Trying to retrieve credentials for oAuth account...

  • The same behaviour occurs with ownCloud Android 4.8.3 and 4.8.4 beta, and with oCIS 8.0.8 and 8.2.0.

Expected behaviour

  • After successful OIDC authentication, the app should load the remote file list and allow uploads/downloads normally.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Configure oCIS with Authentik as the OIDC provider.

  2. Connect using ownCloud Android 4.8.3 or 4.8.4.

  3. Complete the OIDC login successfully.

  4. Open the file list or start an upload.

Can this problem be reproduced with the official owncloud server?

The same Android device and the same ownCloud app also fail to connect to the official ownCloud demo server (https://demo.owncloud.org) with an SSL connection error.

No subsequent WebDAV request is made.
