ownCloud Classic 11.1.0 and 10.16.7 are available 🎉

ownCloud Classic 11.1.0 is the first minor release of the 11.x line, and 10.16.7 is a maintenance release for the 10.16 line.

11.1.0

Two changes need your attention before upgrading:

  • Local accounts are temporarily locked after repeated failed logins (#41805, #41936).
    The lockout is enabled by default. After 5 failed password attempts, an account of the built-in user backend is locked for 10 minutes. You configure it with the account_lockout.* keys in config.php, and occ user:unlock <login> lifts a lockout early.
  • The signature of every installed app package is verified (#41955).
    Where code signing is enforced, an app without a signature is only installed or updated when it is listed in integrity.ignore.missing.app.signature. An app archive must contain exactly one app folder, named after the app id in its info.xml.

The release also contains certificate-bundle fixes and dependency updates.

10.16.7

10.16.7 applies the same app-package signature check (#41959), and updates the CA bundle and the PHP and JavaScript dependencies.
