ownCloud client debian no http support

Steps to reproduce

  1. Launching the ownCloud client 7.1 on debain 12

  2. Type in “http://192.168.x.x/owncloud” for server

Expected behaviour

Connect just like the Mac version with the same settings.

Actual behavior

I get a message stating https is only supported.

Server configuration

Operating system: debian 13

Web server: Apache 2

Database: MariaDB

PHP version: 7.4

ownCloud version: 10.16

Updated from an older ownCloud or fresh install: both fresh install

Where did you install ownCloud from: ownCloud web site

Are you using external storage, if yes which one: no

Are you using encryption: no

After uninstalling the 7.x and installing the 6.x on the linux system everything works great, and all the clients are the same version
