I’ve enabled VFS on one of my computers due to restricted disk space. It works well enough in the file manager. Unfortunately the implementation is causing me some issues with other apps. The virtual files are all given the extension .owncloud. I am assuming there must be a reason to have implemented in this way but it is not the case with dropbox, oneDrive or iCloud virtual files. This is causing me significant issues with my DAM application as it loses sight of the files when they are made virtual.
