Expected behaviour
Tell us what should happen
apt, apt-get, Synaptic, and MintUpdate should fetch the repository without any warnings.
Actual behaviour
Tell us what happens instead
I get an error/warning at each repository update in MintUpdate:
The repository 'http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/jgeboski/xUbuntu_16.04 Release' does not have a Release file.Data from such a repository can't be authenticated and is therefore potentially dangerous to use.See apt-secure(8) manpage for repository creation and user configuration details. The repository 'http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/isv:/ownCloud:/desktop/Ubuntu_16.04 Release' does not have a Release file.Data from such a repository can't be authenticated and is therefore potentially dangerous to use.See apt-secure(8) manpage for repository creation and user configuration details.Selhalo stažení http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/jgeboski/xUbuntu_16.04/Packages Nelze se připojit k download.opensuse.org:http:Selhalo stažení http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/isv:/ownCloud:/desktop/Ubuntu_16.04/Packages Nelze se připojit k download.opensuse.org:http:Některé indexové soubory se nepodařilo stáhnout. (The ending is in Czech but I think everything is clear from the previous text.)
You see that the problem is different from the previous one with the GPG key.
Steps to reproduce
- Add an ownCloud repository to your Ubuntu-based system, or specifically Linux Mint 18.2 Sonya x86_64, pointing to http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/isv:/ownCloud:/desktop/Ubuntu_16.04.
- Try apt-get update, or try to update the repositories from MintUpdate.
- You’ll encounter the warning about the missing Release file.
