Owncloud temporary files

Hi,
I’m facing an issue with ownCloud 2.5.4 client build 11415.

While the application is syncing files from a portal, sometimes it happens that some of them just stay pending showing in the destination folder only their own temporary file (example: .XXX.xml.~123). Is there any configuration that is missing on my system or is this an ownCloud bug for that version?
I noticed that if I delete the temporary file the original one is finally synched.
Is there any risk in deleting the temporary file and re-sync the file?

For now I cannot upgrade, is there any other workaround/solution to the problem?
