ownCoud Desktop Client 2.4.0 released!

ownCloud Desktop sync client 2.4.0 released
Celebrate the Holidays with the brand new ownCloud Desktop Client 2.4.0 Release.

One more Thing: The ownCloud Developers as well as the community worked hard to make the Desktop sync client 2.4.0 ready for you in the holiday season!
Tons of new features, improved UX, improved security and OAuth2 implementation make this a major release for the ownCloud Desktop sync client. We will roll out the Linux clients on the stable repo shortly.

In the mean time, (so that the geeks have something to play with on Christmas Eve), the Linux clients are available already in a non-autoupdating repo https://software.opensuse.org//download.html?project=isv:ownCloud:desktop:client-2.4.0&package=owncloud-client

cheers, Merry Christmas!

You can check the ChangeLog and downloads at https://github.com/owncloud/client/releases

The auto updater for Windows/Linux was already activated (Linux updates as usually go through your distro-specific updating). For macOS we had a compile issue for older Macs that lead to crashing on those Macs. This is fixed now and we'll enable the auto updater for macOS too

There is a blog post with pictures on https://owncloud.org/news/new-2-4-0-owncloud-client-oauth2-support/

Is there way to install an older version and block updates? I can't stand the new link sharing UI. Makes way more clicks and mouse moves to just get a link.
