Password not kept in memory by client Ubuntu

A quick search in the forum got me to this:

Linux client does not save password, always authorizes through the browser

In Ubuntu 18:04 you have to install gnome-keyring (should be installed by default) python-keyring (is essential for onwCloud) Open a terminal (STRG+ALT+t) sudo apt install gnome-keyring (if it is installed, this would NOT harm in any way, you get an answer, that it is allready installed) AND sudo apt install python-keyring This should do it

Hi, I tried this and it didn’t fix the pb: sync client still not able to store/find the password.

Have you tried looking for a solution on this forum?

My answer was just the first thing I found.

Yes I tried many things including solutions found on the Web. The point is that I have a laptop under Ubuntu (same version) and it works fine on it: there is obviously a tiny difference between the two configurations that I haven’t yet found.
