I currently use Owncloud as a service to simply share files easily between me and my clients. I am curious to know if anyone on this board has EVER permanently disabled file-locking in the config file?
Any thoughts or feedback on what I might expect if I disable flie-locking?
There is a documentation about file locking available in the documentation which might give you a clue what file locking is doing. Based on this info you might be able to decide if you want to disable it:
