Desired Behavior: Optionally restore deleted files to a location of my choosing
Actual Behavior: Files are restored to their original location
Installed Operating System: Ubuntu
As the description says - I would like to know if it’s possible to restore the items in the deleted folder in the Web GUI to a folder of my choosing.
If this isn’t an option, is it possible to list all of the recently-restored files so I can find them that way?
Hey, I see no-one has replied. I may be a little daft, but I don’t understand the desperate need to restore a file to the non-original location. Surely you can restore and move the file?
If you must not restore it to the original location, then I guess back end access would work to grab the file and copy it where every you want, provided you data at rest is not encrypted.
The Activity table in the database may be able to provide a list of restored files, if you have the activity app running.
I appreciate the feedback @aclemence - the back end is exactly how I went about this task once I found the trash folder.
I understand the motivation of this is a little strange but I had a lot of files in the Trash from many different locations that, if restored, would be scattered to the wind for me to find again. Since the “Trash Bin” doesn’t have a preview functionality, this was the only way I could think to review them before deleting permanently.
