Since MacOS Mojave 10.14 error in Calendar under ownCloud 10.0.10.4

Since MacOS Mojave 10.14 error in Calendar under ownCloud 10.0.10.

It occured since updating my iPhone to iOS 12.0 and MacBook air to macos 10.14.

The calendar client on the Mac stopped synchronising with my (personal) owncloud-setup and gives the error:

“Your calendar couldn’t be refreshed.”

“The server did not recognise your user name or password for account “host”. Make sure you enter them correctly.”

To be precise, I thought it was because I did not have a ssl-certificate on my domain and I used an old version of owncloud. Before coming here I fixed that. Now https on my domain and the latest owncloud version. Same error as before. Please advice!

Steps to reproduce

  1. update iOS and Macos clients

Expected behaviour

Uninterrupted caldav synchronisation is what should happen after an update.

Actual behaviour

“Your calendar couldn’t be refreshed.”

“The server did not recognise your user name or password for account “host”. Make sure you enter them correctly.”

Server configuration

could this be related?

My domain has https through Let’s Encrypt, that should do the trick. Won’t it?

Probably. I don’t have a Mac to verify.

Your issue is that the Calendar Client on Mac OS 10.14 can’t connect to your ownCloud?

How is your phone OS related to this issue?

Please help me understand

both the client under macos 10.14 and the iPhone client stopped synchronising. Don’t know which one was first because I updated both around the same time to their latest version before I noticed that synchronisation stopped. The desktop client gives a proper error (with an icon showing an exclamation mark) and the iPhone does not report anything.

Okay, best to open a ticket in the calendar repo.

Done, thanks for the link.

Hey,

it seems this was thoroughly discussed in another thread at the calendar repository below where all leads to an issue with the SSL setup on the server.

Keep trying eventually should work with a real ssl setup
