Hi,I just posted a message about deleted files but just loged in and its worse than I thought. Thought it better to post this seperatly, hope that is OK.
I am getting ‘PS just logged in and got ‘Your storage is full, files can not be updated or synced anymore!’ but when I look at deleted files’
But when I look in my user I see deleted files olver than a year.
Any idea what is going on and how I can fix this?
In a worst case you can use occ trashbin:cleanup username to completely empty the trashbin, otherwise occ trashbin:expire username should suffice since the default lifespan is 30 days. I don’t know why it doesn’t work for you automatically, usually it should clean up the trashbin every time a file gets moved into the trash
First I should say the serer is 10.8.0 and there is no `trashbin_retention_obligation set (see config.php below). I have been asked to upgrade the server but the data disk is full so firast I want to sort this out. what should trashbin_retention_obligation be set to. Looked at user manual and cant work it out.

trashbin_retention_obligation isn’t in the config by default, but it is set to 'auto' if no value is given. if you set 'trashbin_retention_obligation' => '30,30', the command occ trashbin:expire should work for you, in this case the first number is minimal days trash is kept, and the second number is maximum number of days the files are kept. So you can set your second number to the amount of days you want to keep, and run occ trashbin:expire to clean up your trash

Thansk, that seems to be working. So the first number is the number of days to always and the second is the number of days if the disk is not geting full? (sorry, had to edit this, made lots of typos).
OK, did a sudo -u www-data ./occ trashbin:expire and it got rid of most of the old deleted file but not all. left some verry old ones. I used 60,90. Ime wondering if maybe as the disk was not full when i did the final expire (I did a single user first that got me back a lot of space) if maybe it does not nesseserily delete oldest files first, just ones that are not protested by the first number?
Sorry for the late response, the first number is the amount of days a file is always kept, and the second number is the amount of days after which it will be deleted. So in your case with 60,90, every deleted file will be expired after 90 days. the first number is probably only useful/needed if you put the second value to auto, then it would store every deleted file for at least 60 days and delete older files if space is needed.
