Switching from a branded version to the native owncloud application

Hi everyone! I’m using switchdrive, the branded version of owncloud. However, I’d like to swich to the owncloud native sofware, since the branded version is always lagging behind. What would be the most elegant way to switch from one application to the other? Is there a way to switch without having to resync all the data?

@ratnanil you should be able to choose the existing switchdrive data directory as a sync folder when you setup a new account in the vanilla ownCloud app.

So the steps would be:

  1. uninstall switchdrive
  2. install owncloud vanilla app
  3. point the new installation to the switchdrive data folder?

Yes, that should work. I’d also do a backup – just in case…
