Sync a local folder with a specific server folder

Not answering all questions or providing logs as this is a config setup issue and no useful logs expected.

Expected behaviour

When a folder is configured on the desktop client, a local folder should sync to a specific server folder when setup during connection process

Actual behaviour

each folder contained within the local folder selected during client setup syncs to the server as separate folders outside of the specified server folder

Steps to reproduce

  1. setup local folder that will sync
  2. Setup user on server and create server side folder that files should be synced into
  3. configure desktop client to connect to created server side folder in the top portion of config interface and select the local folder to sync on the bottom part of the same page on the client software.

so this is how this group works now. No response in over 3 days. I have setup this up before and did not have this same issue but now I do. owncloud has gone from bad to worse now due to NO FIX for the issues.

Hey,

i think this is how community driven support forums are working in general. From my knowledge many of these are working on a “best effort”, this means if a user knows an answer one will be given but there is never a guarantee that users knowing an answer for every problem / issue other users are facing.

I’m not sure but if there is anything which needs to be fixed by ownCloud then i think it could be better to notify the ownCloud team at GitHub · Where software is built because they could easily miss it when posted here.
