Talks at ownCloud Contributors Conference

Right at the moment we have set up different kinds of Events for the ownCloud Contributors Conference.

At the Moment we have:
Lightning Talks: Short Talks of about 5 Minutes length

Talks: Give a talk on a topic with more depth on stuff you are working on or would like to improve.
These should be of about 30 Minutes of length.

Workshops: Here is where you go for the guts of your topic.
It should be around 45-60 Minutes long and you interaction should be welcome.

Social Events:
You want to chitchat with other ownClouders and go bowling?
Just propose it and we will try to make it happen.

Helping Hands, other Ideas, or other subjects are warmly welcomed. This conference is about you!

I will talk about the progress on the WebDAV interface during the last year and give an idea on what to work next.

Conference Meetings:

We'll have one room at the conference hacking days reserved for 'scheduled meetings'. That way you can make sure that if there are specific things you want to discuss with certain people, you can schedule something and you won't forget or miss it. The room will have a white board.

If you'd like to discuss something, just add it here. And: all meetings are open, if you are interested in a subject, just be there!

Talks that it'd like to happen:

  • Community
    • Goal: check how to improve the work
    • Minimum people: everyone

  • Clients roadmap

    • Goal: features expected till the end of 2016 ?
    • Minimum people: mobile and desktop teams

  • Authentication based in token

    • Goal: define how the clients will behave, how it´s detected this authentication mech
    • Minimum people: mobile and desktop teams

  • APIs

    • Goal: talk about APIs, for instance: favorite ones so that the ownCloud platform is aligned
    • Minimum people: server, mobile and desktop teams

  • Testing environments

    • Goal: detect necesities, such as a virtual machine with a huge hard drive related to: enterprise/issues/1315

  • Retrospective

    • Goal: detect what has been great during this conference and what could have been better and how to improve it for next year
    • Minimum people: everyone
    • Unfortunately, this year I won't be the last day, we need a volunteer to lead this!
