Unable to connect Android 2.6 owncloud app

Server setup

Fedora 27
Owncloud 10.0.6
httpd-2.4.29-1.fc27.x86_64
mariadb-server-10.2.12-5.fc27.x86_64

currently listening on port 80

Client setup

Android version 6.0.1
owncloud app version 2.6.0

When I open the android app it asks for "Server address https:// ..."
I enter "http://192.0.0.4/owncloud" and it fails with the message "Bad Request. There is no option given to enter a username and password it just fails with "Bad Request".

In the server logs I get..
GET /owncloud/status.php HTTP/1.1" 400 7062 "-" "Mozilla/5.0 (Android) ownCloud-android/2.6.0" so connection is good I would think.

Does anyone have any ideas as to where things are going wrong please ?

anyone got any ideas ?

same here when accessing /owncloud/status.php from browser I get

{"installed":true,"maintenance":false,"needsDbUpgrade":false,"version":"10.3.2.2","versionstring":"10.3.2","edition":"Community","productname":"ownCloud"}

Same issue here!
I setup the server on one network, then took the server home (so change-of-IP) and same symptomps: Error.log is empty, access log shows the code-400 being returned and checking the status.php from a browser returns normal-looking json (and a 200-code in the access logfile).

Update: Fixed! owncloud security means you need to tell it the URL it will be found under. This is done in config/config.php trusted_domains => …
(for a quick test I was using the IP address on the android client and the hostname (that I /had/ configured there) in the browser. )
