Unable to upload profile pictures larger than 1 MB in contact app using owncloud web client

Hi there,

I noticed that I’m unable to upload contact images bigger than 1 MB using the web client. However it works fine using a DAV client, e.g. Thunderbird.

I did some digging and found out this seems to be a hardcoded limit in the script.js of the contacts app. I’d like to be able to set the limit myself or have the limit removed all together.

Could this be adjusted accordingly?

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open contacts app in owncloud web client
  2. Choose contact
  3. Upload contact image file larger than 1 MB

Expected behaviour

A file larger than 1 MB should upload properly.

Actual behaviour

An error message appears telling me “The selected image is too big”

Server configuration

Operating system: Debian 11

Web server: Apache 2.4.53

Database: MariaDB 10.5.15

PHP version: 7.4.28

ownCloud version: 10.9.1
