You mean via drag&drop into the browser? Yes but only in chrome. Firefox doesn’t support this. In Nextcloud there is a feature request to create an error message (Drag and drop of a folder in firefox gives no feedback · Issue #1336 · nextcloud/server · GitHub), you could post a similar request on GitHub · Where software is built
Alternative: use the owncloud client or webDAV.

I meant surfing to the owncloud server and clicking on the ±symbol, then choosing upload, it does not give me the possibility to select a folder (or is there a workaround for it)?
I tried your suggestion to drag&drop in chrome, this works very well (thanks!) but unfortunately this doesn’t seem a solution for iphone as you there is no file browser available…

Hi,
you can complain to your browser and phone vendor that they should support this functionality like chrome is doing it.

Yes, you have a point there, but the functionality to upload a folder using " +" followed by “Upload” is something which is a vendor independent issue in my opinion.

As a feature request already exists and discussing this in this support forums has no benefit i’m closing here.
Have a look at the issue above to see if any progress is done into any direction.
