Hello, i am planning to make an owncloud server using a raspberry pi and a probox dual bay RAID hdd enclosure, and i am now wondering, which type of hdd should i be using? Wd blue or purple? Thanks in advance!
I don’t think it matters. On a raspberry pi you’re probably going to run into another performance bottleneck before you run into a disk bottleneck.
The only definitive answer is going to be from someone who benchmarks both in this particular enclosure.

I’m not talking about the performance since i know it wont matter, but for it’s longevity. Which one would last longer for this purpose?
Look at the disk specifications of the hardware manufacturer, this has nothing to do with anything ownCloud in specific.
