Which network port to use as the data transmission port

I want to use Linux tc to limit the port speed.
so which network port to use as the data transmission port?
I use the 443 port to access owncloud, but the upload and download seems to be no use port 443.

upload / download is always using the port you have configured in your webserver. oC is not using any other ports as described here:
