I have a bunch of older snapshots on our server that i want to be removed:

i just wonder if there is a way to delete old snapshots safely, e.g if there is a procedure to follow?
or can you just delete them “as is” straight away through the FTP client?

i think there was a discussion about this question recently here:

I cannot find in the forum nor the documentation, how do i properly remove older installation backups created by or from within the updater? manually searching the files on the server, it seems that the entire installation content is copied into an additional folder. I could free up a lot of space by removing backups from older versions that i’ll never go back to, but i do not want to break my latest backup. please advi…

So it is just simple matter the of ftp’ing it and deleting those files. No commands needed to delete something in the database?
