Document versioning does not seem to work

Hi,
We thought Owncloud kept copies of previous versions of the documents we store.
However, when I make changes in a document, I can see in Owncloud that a change has been made, but I have no way of reverting to the previous version.

The version tab tells me “no other versions available”.

Any ideas?

Versioning enabled? Is this in a shared folder or are you the owner of the share? Can you check if the owner sees the versions?

I didn’t know we can enable or disble versioning…. Where can I see that?
(I recently took over Owncloud control form someone else).

from what i know this “versioning” is a separate app called “Versions” which you can enable/disable like described here:

Additionally if i’m creating a new thread in this category i’m getting the template below presented. Maybe you could fill out the information asked within it so people are better able to help you? This is especially important as readers of your topic currently doesn’t know your ownCloud version and even doesn’t now which “Documents” you’re using and how.

I’m afraid the link yo provided is dead? I also don’t see the app "Versions"in the Marketplace. Are we talking about the same things ? :wink:

it seems the documentation is currently down Error access documentation and you probably need to wait until its “alive” again or click a little bit around in the admin backend to find the mentioned app (Its not available within the Marketplace but as a core App included in ownCloud).
