Files are disappearing from server out of the blue

could it be possible that this is the same issue like discussed below?

Steps to reproduce Log in to web client Upload a Powerpoint (*.pptx) file Watch as the file is silently deleted. or Using the Desktop app, copy a Powerpoint (*.pptx) file to an ownCloud folder Log in to web client Navigate to folder containing the Powerpoint file Watch as the file is silently deleted (and receive notice from the Desktop app that the file has been deleted).
