As I understand, they are standard for the Apache server.

from what i know support for the “extended” Methods like PROPFIND and so on are provided by ownCloud itself but can be easily blocked directly within the web server configuration like seen in e.g.:

Can't upload any file - PUT is forbidden (Owncloud 10.0.8)

If your issue has to do with PUT, try to add this at the end of .htaccess: <Limit GET POST PUT DELETE> Allow from all </Limit>
